Rodrigo is public space consultant and project manager with 14 years of experience building community and programming vibrant public spaces. His work focuses on value creation through placemaking, programming and partnership opportunities within the public realm. He has also consulted on management, operations, visitor experience, revenue development, and market analysis.Notable projects include Salesforce Park in San Francisco, Ivy Station Culver City, and the Puente Hills Landfill Park. While working for previous firm, Biederman Redevelopment Ventures (BRV), Rodrigo managed public space projects in two dozen cities across the country, creating programming and public engagement strategies for real estate developers, professional sports teams, non-profit foundations, and government clients. From 2017-2018, Rodrigo served as BRV's Programming Manager for the Salesforce Transit Center rooftop Park in San Francisco, helping open the park and set up the park's public events and partnerships. Prior to focusing on public space, Rodrigo worked on renovation, management, and repositioning of residential real estate, including the transformation of a dated apartment building into art-infused, modern apartments that has now been converted into the Silverlake Pool and Inn in Los Angeles. Rodrigo continues to self-manage a portfolio of rental properties and other investments. Rodrigo's life before real estate included work as a special events coordinator for a community oriented, international non-profit creating programs, events, and partnerships for the Jewish community in Los Angeles and other cities, an experience that influences his public space planning and engagement work today. Rodrigo currently runs his own consulting practice, collaborating frequently with Studio-MLA, an interdisciplinary Landscape Architecture studio with an "advocacy by design" focus, Agora Partners, a leading public space planning consultancy, and other clients. He is a board member and board treasurer for Fulcrum Arts, a Pasadena-based non-profit exploring the interplay of art and science.
