A highly commended leading engineer and innovator, as well as associate professor at the Computer Science Department of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, Rodrigo started as a software developer in the early ‘90s, quickly focusing on more complex and customer-valued solutions. He has been an early adopter of new technologies, especially Artificial Intelligence, and has developed sophisticated skills in Optimization, Machine and Deep Learning, Software Engineering and Agile Development (Certified Senior Scrum Master). 25+ years as University Professor, leading courses such as Evolutionary Computing, Advanced Software Development Strategies, among others. He has been the advisor for nearly 200 MEng alumni.As a development manager, he has led the development groups coordination in the successful adoption of company-wide software processes, especially agile practices, and interact with technology vendors, internal marketing and IT, and QA, plan workload, budget, and staff. He has been also assigned to the definition of corporate-level architecture, new technologies adoption, mission critical systems development.As a technical lead innovator, he has driven software products life cycle, highly-technical specifications, design, and development.
