Hello,My name is Rodrigo and I am a native freelance English to Brazilian Portuguese translator.Recently, I was one of the main collaborators on the Brazilian Portuguese localization for 'Disco Elysium', from the developer ZAUM (published in December 2020 on multiple platforms), having translated and proofreaded more than 700.000 words.Previous to that, I have also collaborated in smaller localizations for software and websites, having worked for major clients like Adobe, Microsoft, Salesforce, Rabobank, Samsung and AWS (Amazon). I have accumulated 7 years of in-house experience with technical translations/localizations from English to Brazilian Portuguese in the fields of information science and information technology, records management and digital preservation (trustworthy digital repositories, ISO 14721/16363/16919), during my activities as archival technician with the Brazilian National Archives and the National Library Foundation. Since late 2020, I’ve been collaborating on a regular basis on MTPE projects for Microsoft (Xbox Game Store and others) and Adobe (Target, Campaign, Experience Cloud, DC Sign, Rush, Premiere Pro, After Effects and other products).Presently, I am leading the official Brazilian Portuguese translations for ISO 16363:2012 (CCSDS 652.0-M-1, https://public.ccsds.org/pubs/652x0m1.pdf) and for the SCAPE Catalog of Preservation Policy Elements (https://scape-project.eu/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/SCAPE_D13.2_KB_V1.0.pdf). Other personal ongoing projects include children's books ('Mr. Bliss' by J.R.R. Tolkien; 'Albert Hopper, Science Hero' series by John Himmelman) and a few non-mainstream comics ('Department of Truth', 'The Scumbag', 'Echolands').I have expertise on SDL Trados Studio and have also accumulated hundreds of hours of expertise on SubtitleEdit, although in a non-professional capacity.I'm looking forward to working with you.Kind regards
