Forces corrective actions from audit findings and drives completion of tasks. Analyze supplier process data to assist in solving complex quality problems. Coordinatesion of problems related to misunderstanding or misinterpretation of productspecifications and tolerances. gage repeatability and reliability studies at suppliers and tooling / process capability studies as required. Provides technical input for strategic sourcing projects, including evaluation of supplier capability,specification review, product implementation and part transition. Manages approved cost reduction and performance improvement projects. Works closely with appropriate Commodity Manager to manage overall supplier performance. Liaison between Internal QA inspection and supplier QA inspection regarding consistency of inspection methods for supplied product. Hold technical discussions with suppliers to identify and implement improvements in products andprocesses. Solicits and includes cross functional participation from Internal departments. Respond with a high sense of urgency to quality issues and escalate / communicate appropriately. Validate effectiveness of CAR, 8D, 6Sigma, root causes through on-site visits to suppliers. Ensure that Tier 1 suppliers are using capable Tier 2 suppliers for material and outside processingservices. Eliminate waste from the supply chain. Propagate best practices throughout the supply chain. Essential requirements. Strong understanding of GD&T,Gantt Charts, PERT Charts and project management tools, interpret / read drawings.
