I am a personal trainer who just retired from the United States Marine Corps with 21 years of service. I have a passion for fitness but also for mentoring and leading people to accomplish goals and live healthy lives. In the Marine Corps, I was a Physical Training Instructor, a prior Drill Instructor for 3 years, and a Martial Arts Instructor Trainer in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program. I have designed many physical fitness sessions and lead thousands of Marines through these sessions throughout my 21 year career. I am a husband and a father of 4 (2 boys and 2 girls) who enjoys training my kids in various fitness arenas.EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATES: I have graduated the Certified Personal Training course through the National Association of Sports Medicine at the National Personal Training Institute in San Diego, Ca. I am currently attending the Health Coach Specialist course to be able to coach in nutrition. I was in the Food Service occupation in the Marines which allowed me to attend training in cooking and preparation at the Culinary Institute of America.INTERESTS AND ACHIEVEMENTS: My interests span a to a wide variety which includes basketball, weight lifting, running, mountain climbing, swimming, obstacle course running, and functional fitness. I have ran numerous half marathons and look forward to running my first full marathon. I will also be competing in the Tough Mudder and Spartan Races as a competitor . I also plan on competing in my first fitness competition in the next year.TRAINING SPECIALTY: My training specialty revolves around helping anyone to reach their fitness goals. I am well trained in functional fitness to include agility drills, cone drills, and high intensity interval training. I specialize in Cardio with weights and other items. My main goal is to help and assist anyone who wants to learn, get back into, or extend their fitness knowledge. My focus is on merging mentality with physicality.
