Receiving, Returns, & Shipping Assistant
Current- Timely and accurate processing of non-book sideline items (Harvard clothing, HBS merch, etc)- Receiving and easy identification of regular stock and/or customer order shipments and preparation of inventory for the sales floor- Processing books for author events, our Signed First Editions Club or other promotions - Liaising with publishers and distributors and coordinating our incoming stock, claiming damages, requesting replacements, and other duties- Regular contact with the department Supervisor, Store Managers, the Buying Manager and Assistant Managers, and the Marketing Manager, regarding any questions about the accuracy of the Store’s inventory database - Occasionally assist with the timely and accurate shipping of customer orders, troubleshooting mis-shipments, and communicating with customers about orders in transit.- Taking point on special shipping projects (e.g. pre-order campaign shipping)- Communicating with the Assistant Managers; the Receiving, Returns & Shipping Supervisor; and our Warehouse staff about shipping supply needs.- Fielding and responding to customer queries—emailed or phoned—about outstanding orders and orders in transit; drawing in other staff from various departments as necessary.
