Rod began his career as an individual life pricing actuary and has since held a diverse range of roles across a broad spectrum of life insurance products. These roles have encompassed individual and group life, health, LTC, annuities, and more. His experience includes responsibilities such as developing and managing underwriting standards, overseeing underwriting, product development, and pricing organizations, as well as spearheading large-scale transformational initiatives. He has also held key executive positions, including CFO for AIG’s Life and Accident Health business, CEO for AIG’s Global Life business, and President of Advantage Insurance Solutions, a life and health insurance product development organization.He earned a Master of Science in Insurance from Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelor of Science with majors in Accounting and Finance from Gannon University. Rod is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and an American Academy of Actuaries member.He has previously served on the Boards of American General United States Life Insurance Companies, AIG Retirement, and Laya Health Care. He is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute and held FINRA (formerly NASD) Series 7 (General Securities) Series 27 (Financial Operations Principal) licenses.Rod resides in Nashville, TN, with his wife Melanie and their two dogs, Axel and Griff. Together, they are avid Orangetheory enthusiasts, having visited 90+ studios across 25 states as an integral part of their love for fitness and travel.
