In my role I am responsible for leading our programs team and managing the strategic development, delivery and coordination of the foundation's charitable programs. This includes our Grant Program that invests in and engages community members and groups working to protect the environment as well as our Community Capacity Program that provides training and workshop opportunities to Alberta environmental NGOs. In additional to our grant programming, which annually invests between $500k and $1M, I have also played a leading role in designing and implementing several key initiatives, including:• EcoCity Edmonton – a strategic partnership with the City of Edmonton that provides funding to community based initiatives that align with the City’s Energy Transition strategy• Low Carbon Cities Canada – a proposed Pan-Canadian network of major urban climate centres – will help six city regions to reach their full emissions reduction potential while at the same time unlocking co-benefits for local communities (www.lc3.ca)• Project Blue Thumb, Canada’s first social innovation lab focused on water quality issues (www.projectbluethumb.com)• Mapping What Matters – a social network analysis and comprehensive needs assessment of Alberta’s environmental sector, with over 160 organizations participating (http://albertaecotrust.com/mapping-what-matters-report/)• The Environmental Gathering, an annual 3 day event that convenes over 200 individuals from Alberta’s environmental community to build connections, share successes, and create opportunities for collaborative action (http://albertaecotrust.com/gathering2017/)• Strategic Learning & Evaluation Series – an on-line workshop series that introduces practical tools to the most common evaluation challenges environmental NGOs face in assessing their work and measuring their impact

Responsible for the development and implementation of strategies to raise and enhance the profile of Champions Career Centre, particularly with potential clients, employers and community partners.• Leading role in the development and implementation of the organization’s strategic marketing plan• Proactively seeking branding opportunities and strategic partnerships with our target audience• Implementing comprehensive marketing campaigns which include television, radio, transit and online advertising• Building brand awareness and engagement online through social media on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Blogger and YouTube• Monitoring and developing relationships with local media• Managing staff to develop a marketing team culture through guidance, delegation and mentorship• Software used includes Adobe Creative Suite, Constant Contact, Access and Act! Databases, and Microsoft Office

• Conducting detailed rental market analysis for Calgary over the past 5 years• Using GIS to map the rental market, incidence of poverty, and community services in Calgary• Researching poverty strategies and their effectiveness for housing formerly homeless persons• Interviewing housing specialists to understand challenges and barriers faced in housing the homeless• Implementation of Client Satisfaction Survey across various programs• Data cleaning, coding, and analysis of surveys and interview content
