Recruited by Trophy management team to start new company: Trophy Resort Properties, with future ownership opportunities. After securing owners goals, established a growth plan. Quickly exceeded plan and grew to 4 resort communities with anticipated total revenue of $194m over 4-6 years with a majority of revenues to begin in late 2007. Set up all operational areas of business: recruiting and training of purchasing, sales, construction, and administrative personnel, managed product development – both horizontal and vertical (architectural and engineering), entitlements, operations, purchasing, sales, marketing, etc. Worked with corporate accounting staff for financial accounting and reporting. Trophy Homes’ heavy reliance on bank/investor debt and the real estate market collapse in 2007-2008 prevented plans from being realized when Trophy closed down. In 2008 was asked to take responsibility for construction operations and close-down Trophy single family home division and took on daily operations in multi-family resort community as part of company downsizing and close down.

Joined Christopher Homes as General Manager of Park City Division. Responsible for all division start-up and operations in Park City; Received Owner’s “Eagle Award” for 2005 performance.Production Home Communities - Construction, marketing, sales, land development and construction activities for new community of single and multi family resort homes.Custom Homes – Completed two super-customs and started third – all multi-year projects. Homes range from 7,200 to 12,000 SF with sales prices between $550 and $775 per SF.

While working for David Weekley Homes as a City Manager in Charleston, SC moved family closer to extended family by accepting a position in Colorado managing home building operations of resort projects in the Vail Valley. In order to meet changing market and change in business direction, assumed purchasing, HOA, & sales management in close out community and developed brick & mortar budgets, construction management plans, architecture, HOA & club budgets for Land Acquisition Packages for new resort communities in Silverthorne, Co., Galveston, TX., & Lake Travis TX. Invited to move to division office in Dallas, TX.

After quick success in sales cross-training, was invited to assume leadership of $4.8 million Charleston, SC market as Project Manager. After 10 months of successfully growing the business by 208% to $10 million annual revenues, improving net income by 337%, and improving customer satisfaction, the city was changed from a project to a division and became City Manager.Exceeded annual operating plans (AOP) every year and set new city records in every category. Completed 2001 business with a 98% would recommend rating from customers.Received “Best Project Team” award for 1999. Member of inaugural class of DW University and was instructor for subsequent groups.

While working as Estimator in San Antonio market for company, I was selected from a group of Purchasing Manager in Training candidates to set up and manage purchasing department in a new market. Responsible for all estimating and purchasing activities in Raleigh market. Assisted in multiple new markets as advisor and coach for new purchasing managers.
