We train youth leaders to work effectively with students (7th-12th grade) and children (ages 3-11). Considered a friend to pastors and churches, we fill the pulpit practically every month, speak at conferences, assist in any way we can to serve the local church and encourage today's youth leaders. We have a heart to serve and are passionate about the Word of God and the souls of men. We love the local church and we love pastors. I pray for pastors as they are my heroes. What each pastor does every day and every week to lead a local church is doing more to reach America than anything else I know. I am praying for revival in America, the only lasting hope to see things turn around for the better. The most effective leaders in our country today in my mind are youth leaders and those involved in church leadership. I believe the local church is God's program and nothing will succeed in thwarting God's plans. I want my life and example to be a benefit to every local church.We strongly support and participate in Christian camping such as at Word of Life Island, Word of Life Ranch and Family Campground and we highly recommend and represent the Word of Life Bible Institute which has trained thousands of students that stretch across the globe today. We presently provide events such as CHILDREN'S COUNTRY JAMBOREE for kids ages 3-11 (May) and for students in grades 7-12th events such as ENGAGE (March/April) for ministry development, CAMPUS DAY trips (April) a messy obstacle race called SLOPSTACLE (June), a discipleship kick-off event called BATTLE ZONE (October) and REVERB, an all-night evangelistic event (November) that reaches a thousand students each year.We are blessed with several hundred, teen and adult volunteers each year that assist us in running these events. Our staff is growing each year and we welcome your participation.

We established a strong student ministry through discipleship, evangelism and leadership training and an active WOL Student Ministry, Olympians and a College & Career ministry that met weekly. Developing leaders was extremely important to us.Our ministry reached out to every home in town through our Student Visitation Ministry as we invited and left material to communicate God's love. Our teens had a strong presence annually at Word of Life Basketball Marathons, Volleyball Marathons and Teens Involved (now ENGAGE). Our students also reached out to the community and their friends by participating in an all-night outreach event called Superbowl (now ENGAGE).We had an amazing staff that helped us establish Puppet Teams, Music Teams, Drama and Special Presentations. Our most engaging outreach involved coaching several quiz teams that reached National status and impacted students for a lifetime.Establishing a JUNIOR CHURCH that met weekly, our goal was to teach children to WORSHIP in ways that communicated that God loved them very much and so did we, a model that we learned from our lead pastor.Passionate about the Word of God and the souls of men, we endeavored to model our life verse, 1 Timothy 4:12 "Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." Establishing a daily Quiet Time became one of our goals for all. We loved calling on and visiting the homes of our students so that we would connect more effectively. Preaching once a month on Sunday morning or in the evening service and teaching once a month in our mid-week service allowed me to communicate the needs of our youth to our adult congregation. One of our joys included sharing God's blessings and answers to prayer weekly with our church. Producing a Weekly Student News Letter was another form of communicating our love for students and was sent to anyone absent so that teens and parents could stay in touch.
