About Roel Van De Ven
Roel van de VenMr. Van de Ven graduated in International Law at Leyden University. From 1986-1998 he worked at the T.M.C Asser University Institute for International and European Law in The Hague, where he held positions of researcher and deputy director. In this period he gained extensive foreign experience as a teacher and advisor in the field of international economic law. In 1998 Mr. van de Ven joined the Netherlands Ministry of Education, Culture and Science as a senior policy advisor in the field of (international) cultural policy. From 2005 till 2008 he was appointed as counselor at the Netherlands Permanent Representation to the European Union in Brussels. Subsequently Mr. Van de Ven worked with the Netherlands Ministry of Education, Culture and Science as a policy advisor in the field of national and international media policy. From 2017 - 2021 he served at the Dutch Embassy in London as Head of the Culture, Education and Communication Department. As from January 2022 Mr. Van de Ven was appointed as Social Affairs and Employment Attaché at the Dutch Permanent Representation in Geneva.
