Hi! My name is Rose and I am an undergraduate student majoring in Psychology at Georgia State University. I've been working in research for 5+ years and am currently a Research Assistant in Dr. Sierra Carter's HEART Lab. My experiences there have led me to be more interested in the psychological impact of racial trauma on Black and African American Women. Along with racial trauma, I am interested in neurodiversity, non-carceral mental health treatment, Community Psychology, and how intersections of race and gender can influence understanding of these topics. I intend to further my understanding by attending graduate school and developing theses that will form the basis of the knowledge I will use to develop community-oriented mental health resources to serve disadvantaged communities.
