I am a corporate partner in Moore Barlow’s corporate and commercial team, working out of our Southampton, Guildford and City of London offices. I specialise in mergers, acquisitions, MBOs and MBIs, joint ventures, corporate finance, AIM flotations and fundraisings, and a range of other commercial matters. I am a member of our Executive Board with a strategic role as Legal Practice Head.I have more than 30 years experience, having spent the early part of my career working in the London office of international law firm, Baker McKenzie, before joining Moore Blatch, now Moore Barlow, in 1996.I grew up in business with my family’s group of franchise motor dealerships. I negotiated and project managed their sale some years ago. The commercial and practical skills and experience that I picked up during that time have been invaluable in my legal career when advising clients on developing or exiting their businesses.Over the past 5 years, I have led more than £750m of corporate transactions with my team’s total deal value in that time being more than £2bn. Some examples are:- £100 million management buyout of a property investment and trading company achieved via a recommended takeover offer;- £25m sale of Fresh Relevance Ltd, a leading vendor of cross-channel personalization technology, to Dotdigital Group plc;- sale by Hall & Woodhouse Limited of Rio Tropical Limited, owner of the Rio soft drink brand, to A.G.
