Toqio provides its customers with a SaaS platform that enables them to offer B2B and B2B2B embedded finance to their customers through an integration system that connects them to various financial service providers.As Head of Technology, I oversee the work of 30 development, QA and customer support professionals and am responsible for the correct construction of the company's software developments. I also work closely with the Product Department to advise on the technical aspects of creating new products and their functionality, as well as defining the product roadmap, having worked in the banking environment for a long time.I work closely with the innovation and research team to define future services and architecture, in particular the integration of Flowable into our services, the creation of custom components that wrap functionality provided by the core API, the integration of DDD into our platform, and the implementation of a data lake using a mix of Google and AWS services such as Big Query and Looker that will be used to detect and prevent anti-money laundering activity.As a member of the executive team, I am also involved in defining the company's technology strategy, future product definition, vendor and partner management and budget allocation. I also decide what software solutions the company needs, especially those that impact the technology department, such as security, monitoring and surveillance tools. I am responsible for contracting and maintaining relationships with these vendors.

Developed new systems for the management of renewable energies for Iberdrola.Created a multi-technology —Uipath, Blue Prism, NICE, Automation Anywhere and MS Power automate— and multi-sector RPA department in Salamanca, to provide development services, initially for Orange Telecom Spain, and later expanded to other customers in Spain and abroad (Orange Belgium, Técnicas Reunidas, Gestamp, Bankia, La Caixa, Santander Consumer Finance, Santander Italy, Resolution Life USA, Acciona, Tokio Marine Kiln London, Repsol, Correos Spain, EVO Bank, Madrid Digital, and CEPSA). Performed the process discovery, functional definition, technical specification, acceptance testing, sanity checking, deployment, logging, and documentation of the automation applications, and created specific tools for service registration, performance auditing, execution control.Lead the Innovation and Automation Department of Salamanca, which was part of a global NTT initiative, to create automation tools for our own use and to simplify the work of our customers.

Managed the team (55 people in Spain, and 15 in NTT Data offshore facilities in Morocco) that developed the online and mobile banking services for TSB Bank after its integration with Sabadell Bank, using microservices and a Single Page Application approach (SPA), built with Angular.Opened NTT Data’s office in Salamanca, meeting the needs of our main client (Iberdrola) as their main software service provider for 10 years, now employing 650 professionals.

Researcher at the Research Unit of the Universidad Veracruzana of Xalapa, México, in the Mexico City unit, dedicated to research on the ancient writing systems of Mesoamerica, such as the Maya and Nahuatl. I was dedicated to publishing my research, participating in conferences, creating educational materials, and offering occasional seminars to university students. I have also participated in more than 50 congresses, seminars and conferences in Spain and abroad, imparted in Spanish, English and Italian.As part of my research, I also participated as a project epigrapher during the 2011 and 2012 campaigns for the Calakmul Archaeological Project. The main objective participating in this project was to register all the hieroglyphic inscriptions present at the site. Performed the back-office upgrade of Bansefi, a Mexican government-owned bank, from IBM’s Iris system to Nessa’s Abside system, which improved its performance.My main activities were:• Perform the gap analysis between the old Iris system and the new Abside system• Define the functional adaptations necessary for the system to work• Perform the configuration of the different modules of the new core banking system• Perform the core banking system upgrade from the original Iris solution to the one provided by Nessa• Perform the validation and testing of the new system

Located in Mexico City throughout the project, I acted as project manager for the local participants in thecreation of a new cadastre system for the Mexico City government. The system consisted of the following parts:• A Cadastre module that optimizes the processes of consultation, updating and management ofcadastral information.• A Fiscal Module, which allows the integration and control of activities related to the management ofproperty taxes• An External Sources module, which provides external agents (notaries, valuers, land registry andmunicipal offices) with access to cadastral information and services.• An Analysis Module, based on a Business Intelligence platform, which allows the analysis of cadastraland fiscal information.• A security module that protects the entire system, with a set of services and applications, againstunauthorized intervention, through an authentication system that allows full auditability toguarantee the protection and integrity of the system's information.

Opnatel (now Nasertic) was a public company dedicated to provide all telecommunications services to the Government of Navarra, a province in northern Spain. As the Manager of the Information Systems Department my main activities were:• Develop the strategy for the adquisition of software to be used by the company• Prepare the RFP for all the IT specific needs of all the departments.• Perform the technical analysis of the software and hardware products to be used by the company.• Supervise the processes of acquisition, proceed to the evaluation of proposals, sign the appropriatecontracts with the designated companies.• Supervise the realization of the outsourced software projects developed for the company, such as aticketing service created with Lotus 123, and developed by software development company, andother simila projects.• Design the perimetral security defenses using state-of-the-art products, such as Firewalls (weprogrammed them using Linux boxes with IPchains, defining our own security rules), XDR systemsm,specialized content filters, protocol filters, and log correlation systems in order to detect possibleattacks.• Management of the entire IT infrastructure including, web servers, email servers, security systems,telecom accounting servers, specific product servers, etc.One specific project that was particularly important was the virtualization of our server base (more than 60 dedicated boxes of varying capacity and resources), through the use of VMware. A specific HP rackarchitecture was designed to eliminate the various servers and install them under VMware, which allowedus to vary resource allocation as needed, eliminate legacy systems, reduce infrastructure and supportcosts, etc. The system was mirrored at another government site to avoid potential downtime in the event of problems with the primary service.

Since I was the designer of the first version of the Internet banking services for the Rural Group, thanks to the research done at the Universidad Publica de Navarra, Rural Servicios Informaticos contacted methrough their Navarra Regional Bank (Caja Rural de Navarra) to take their Internet banking services to thenext level, as the monolithic architecture developed in C language was showing signs of stress, due to aproblem to escalating the number of possible end users. Rural Servicios Informaticos acts as an nearshore outsourcing software development company, that is dedicated to the programming of the systems required by its owners, a group of 30 Spanish regional banks, of varying sizes and economic capacity. The group owns also a bank (Banco Cooperativo Español) and an insureance company (Rural General Aseguradora).We chose a scalable platform built on Java J2EE, with services distributed through a Weblogic application server and an Oracle database. The system was delivered in two years and was the cornerstone for the launch of new online services, such as a new stock trading service, available to all the group's regional banks. The system had to be integrated with two core banking systems, as RSI was building a new system called IRIS, which was sold to IBM and later recovered to form a new company called Nessa Global Banking Solutions, but which became the core banking system for the group.I was in charge of 40 people dedicated to the development of the new multichannel banking service, for all the banks affiliated to RSI (30 regional banks at that time), mainly through Internet and mobile phones. Dedicated to the management, pre-sales and post-sales of web solutions for various companies, among which are the following: creation of an Internet interface for electronic banking developed with n X.25 which was marketed to Spanish financial institutions, including the Cajas Rurales de España, development of an Internet interface for digital mapping services and cadastral certificates for Tracasa. Development of virtual tools for a company that manufactures automobile tanks and development of the software for the management of the Polo Park for Volkswagen in Navarra.

Research student in the Automatics and Systems department. Dedicated to teaching and some researchinitiatives. My research work was dedicated to the creation of transport layer protocols to facilitate thecreation of mobile applications.I was also dedicated to research on the use and application of the internet for economic activities, whichwas opened to the public in 1990. As part of this initiative, I was involved in two external projects, managed through the University's Knowledge Transfer Office (OTRI in Spanish):• Creation of a web service for the purchase and download of cadastral certificates for the Spanishcompany Tracasa. The system was developed in the C language, Javascript and CGI• Creation of a banking service for the Caja de Navarra (now part of La Caixa Bank), developed using theC language, Javascript, and CGI, with communication interfaces to software programs developedusing the COBOL programming language. This system was later used by Banco Popular, Banco deGuipúzcoa, Cajas Rurales de España (through their software services company called Rural ServiciosInformaticos-RSI) and other financial institutions in Spain. It was based on a system that originallytransmitted direct debits and money transfers over an X.25 communication channel. I created thesoftware to transmit the information over the emerging Internet services, replacing the old X.25system, and developed functionality beyond the original services, such as balance statements,payments, and more.
