Ensuring large clients can get the best advantage from new and existing cloud platforms, to drive value in their cloud systems, and gain the best competitive advantage.Using both Azure and AWS to provide analytical and fraud investigation systems, frequently containerised, supporting hundreds of users with game changing capabilities. The role includes many migrations from on-premise systems, or traditional monolithic architectures to the more modern microservices.

Solution lead on a large container based statistical computing environment into AWS. Working with one of the largest CROs in the world to implement a container based SCE into AWS, as well as embedding AWS into the organization. Designing the solution, acting as both technical lead and implementation lead for this flagship project, to support 100's of users inside AWS. Deployments are done using IaC (Terraform) with multiple gitlab pipelines. A large degree of team management and stakeholder management is required on a very technical project with extremely tight timelines, to produce a validated system, new user processes, process and data migration, embedding AWS into the organisation and fully train the support team for impending handover.

Technical lead on a project working with one of the worlds largest pharmaceutical companies to deploy a custom built, multi-lingual SCE in AWS and kubernetes. Architecting and deploying a micro service, container based SCE into an AWS environment, to support many 100's of users programming in R, SAS and python. Working with multiple stakeholders, and development teams in multiple locations, as well as an offshore third party support team. The deployments were carried out using modern CICD techniques and the solution was successfully transitioned to the third party offshore support team, and is deemed by the customer to be a great success.

Working with a large investment bank to improve processes and enabling the creation of a vital data repository. Looking at both the sql coding, logic and automation of the solution.

Working initially in the architecture team, automating the deployment of multiple SAS grids, interfacing with Hadoop to support the HSBC fraud teams. Transitioning through writing efficient SAS code on the same platform, and ending with a lead role on the retail stress testing team. Focusing on production of global retail stress testing and T0 report creation, with SAS and Hadoop, transitioning from a project to a live system, with a global team. The final piece was beginning the transition to Google Cloud from the on premise infrastructure.

Initially a role doing predominantly SAS reporting in group Credit Risk, followed by a role implementing Single Name Concentration and Commercial Real Estate systems within a large Oracle project. The role ended with a lead role doing SAS development in a small team to build a loss data repository. All of which were key project for the bank, working closely with the technology and the business, involving lots of stakeholder management, as well as technical delivery.

Technical architect on the large SAS/Ab-Initio/Teradata based Basel II platform. Developing the credit risk engine to ensure accurate Basel II reporting, working closely across the teams to ensure system stability, performance and usability. Transitioning the system from a green field project to a live system, with an offshore support team, and transitioning most development to offshore teams. Providing Barclays with a best in class regulatroy reporting solution.

A technical support consultant, to learn the product, followed by working on one of the largest SAS implementations in the UK at time. Dealing with the architecture of the software as ell as the working of the Basel II regulations, and credit risk in a global bank. Excellent exposure to world leading SAS experts as colleagues,culminating in a successful project delivery, and a technical architect role.
