Over 25 years of manufacturing experience including over 10 years of Plant Management experience with full P&L responsibility.Accomplishments include championing four successful ISO/QS implementations, directing the start-up of a new division, the financial turnaround of two companies and a history of rapid promotion and solid results. Success is due largely to ability to provide strong focused leadership, and mentor and build teams along with my proactive and use of 8D, 5S, Kaizen, JIT and other lean manufacturing tools. Process experience includes, injection molding, metal finishing, fabrication, precision machining, stamping, mechanical, electronic and electromechanical assembly, PCB assembly, and others. Industry experience includes defense and aerospace, consumer products, small engines, and automotive.Specialties: Operations, Quality, Lean Manufacturing, P&L improvement, Turn-around, Start-up, Strategic Planning, Performance optimization, New business development.Retired and moved to Florida in 2012. Following a short and restful retirement I successfully ran for president of my HOA. Founded a community volunteer organization that specialized in fundraising for and supporting programs for, our older citizens, disabled residents and summer youth programs. Later successfully ran for public office as Trustee of Barefoot Bay, a Florida Recreational District (Town Council).Moved back home to Alabama in Jan. of 2021 to be close to aging parents, children and grandchildren.
