McFarlane Lake Mining is a new Canadian Gold Exploration and Development company currently engaged in the acquisition and assessment of six gold properties; two east of Sudbury in a region consistently on the top Gold Exploration Opportunities as identified by Ontario Geological Survey, two straddling the Ontario - Manitoba border which are geologically similar to a number of significant gold deposits in Ontario.Lastly, two properties in the historic Timmins area along the prolific Porcupine Destor fault, home to dozens of mines over the last century and several current producing mines. McFarlane has option agreements to acquire 100% of all six properties and intends to go public this year. Three of the properties are past producers of gold and all 6 properties are near infrastructure (roads, power), significant population bases and in a geo-politically stable environment.

Reporting to the Vice President responsible for sustainability strategy, management systems, standards, and policy development in the areas of Health & Safety, Risk, and Environment as well managing First Aid/Security, Energy and Ground Control. Also responsible for government relations on the Energy file and with the Enforcement Branch of the Ministry of Labour. As part of the Sudbury INO Management Team had the responsibility of participating in developing and executing strategy and policy for Sudbury INO.

Mine Manager responsible for transitioning from the Nickel Rim South project to mining operations within Xstrata's Sudbury Operations working closely with the Project Director, the EPCM Project Manager and the Sudbury Management Team

Responsible for all operations at the Craig Mine and was a member of the Management Team for Sudbury Operations. Also took on the role of Project Manager for a pre-feasibility study of the Onaping Depth Project

Responsible for safe cost effective production through direction of all production, mainenance, engineering and safety resources to meet the business goals of this 2,600 tpd underground nickel mine.

Responsible for the overall direction of the Mines Engineering services provided to the operating mines in the Sudbury Operations and the administrations of the Six Sigma program

Responsible for the Mine Engineering Department at Lockerby Mine until May of 2001 then transfered to Fraser Mine in the same capacity

Engineering consulting firm; worked on numerous projects both in North America and overseas including engineering assistance, scoping studies through to feasibility studies and greenfield permitting and development of an underground bulk sample.

Worked for the Technical Directorate on a variety of projects including the introduction of backfill mining mehods and the use electro-hydraulic technology for the first time in the country at the Baluba Mine. The scope included the design and construction of a 210 tph backfill plant and related pumping facilities, the procurment and implimentation of electro-hydraulic drilling technology and a ramp-up to 6,000 tpd using Bench & Fill and Drift & Fill mining methods

Provided all engineering services for a 550 tpd gold project in Matheson Ontario then moved to Wawa as the Chief Engineer at the 550 tpd Kremzar gold mine

Trained as an EIT which provided an opportunity to mine for almost two years and included experience on jack-leg, stoper, longtom, wagon drill, mucking machine and scooptrams. Went on to working as a front line supervisor following the EIT training
