My research focuses on bridging gaps in natural resource management by fostering collaboration between tribal communities, conservation agencies, and academic institutions. I address the underrepresentation of tribal perspectives in management, aiming to enhance community engagement and well-being. Using chronic wasting disease as a case study, I employ culturally-sensitive approaches to co-create tailored management strategies and outreach materials. By prioritizing tribal values and knowledge, my work establishes lasting partnerships that empower communities and guide future conservation efforts.
