Approaching 37 years in the mining industry, all with HVC/Teck. Started career at entry level laborer at the age of 18.Through the years, all in the mill concentrator, trained up through sampling,grinding,flotation,(bulk and moly copper seperation), filter/ dewatering/drying, Moly leaching and Central control room. Also spent years on Crushing/ conveying, tailings and water management.Have spent the last 20 years in different staff roles inlcuding senior operation supervisor, general foreman for mill operations and most recently as training coordinator and commissioning representative for the operations group for our new twin pebble crusher circuits and our new bulk flotation plant.I sit on the MiHR Standing committee for certification and the MiHR National Occupational Standards Development Committee. I am Certified as a Mineral process operator level 2 and just recently as a Front line Supervisor in 2017 and in 2018 certified as an Industry Trainer.Retiring as of April 1st 2019. It has been a great ride, met lots of people, made some good friends along the way. Mining has been very good to my family, here's hoping mining continues to grow and prosper and keep providing those great paying jobs for our Canadian economy for years to come.
