Started as Engineering technician in the design and construction fo substations, including relay specifications and relay calculations and setting coordination. Supervisor of the western 2/3 of the state of Missouri Ameren Distribution, bulk/ transmission substations and generating plants. Included are Nuclear, Hydro, gas and combustion oil fired turbines. Involved in upgrading to new micro porcessor based relaying and SCADA, Carrier, and tone systems. Involved in all aspects of protective relay, control, communications, metering, scada, tone and carrier systems at all voltage levels along with nuclear worker qualifications. Testing of CT, PT, and DC control circuits. Familiar with al types of Electro Mechanical GE and ABB relays and primary and secondary relay Systems, Basler and Beckwith Microprocessor and solid state relays and replacement relays for electromechanical relays. Familiar with the use of ENOSERV RTS testing software. Familiar with the use of AcSELerator software.Familiar with SEL relays 421, 321,311C, 311L, 311G, 351, 387, 487, 587, 551, for example.Familiar with SEL interface and communications devices 2020, 2030,2032 for example.Familiar with Data-Com and RFL tone equipment and Pulsar carrier equipment and older GE and Westinghouse carrier and tone equipment. Testing of wave traps and tuning units, Familiar with Doble, Manta, Powercom, and other testing equipment.Up to date qualifications of NEC, NERC, FERC, NFPA70.Also familiar with SEL metering, and with GE and ABB metering. Also familiar with Bitronics and Satec metering and transducers for interchange, station metering and SCADA.Familiar with upgrading electronic controlled reclosures with SEL 351R relays for reclosure and SCADA control. Familiar with adding GE I-BOX and cell modems for remote staion metering and controls. Familiar with GE D-20 SCADA equipment. Familiar with fiber technology for mirrored bits and line differential applications and cyber security relay and SCADA systems
