Dr. Kylin is responsible for the development and execution of the technical roadmap for all technical activities. He develops requirements and operating procedures for the technical directorate by blending corporate strategies from the Vice President of Engineering with SEG's customers’ goals that are provided by the Program Management Office. The major focus area is the development of the highest-fidelity integrated sensor scenes that are provided as government-furnished information to prime contractors developing sensor, missile, weapon systems, and combat systems as design data and is used in requirements verification and testing. This major activity includes novel software solutions to integrate both internally- and externally-developed physics models that span missile design and engineering, sensor design and engineering, environmental physics and electronic warfare. Dr. Kylin and his team overcome the technical challenges, while balancing the needs of multiple customers with dynamic funding and priorities by following a rigorous systems engineering approach that is designed with explicit flexibility to always provide the most cost-effective solutions possible.
