The purpose of the position is to complete a full range of plan reviews and evaluations of residential buildings and structures to ensure that all trades comply with local, state and federal codes. This is accomplished by reviewing and evaluating plans related to plumbing, fuel and gas, mechanical, electrical, energy, and related codes. Other duties include responding to requests, answering inquiries, researching codes, completing reports; and filing and maintaining documentation. -Reads and interprets building plans and engineering specifications by reviewing information and codes and completing computations. -Interprets codes and ordinances by reviewing documents and site surveys and identifying zoning districts. -Maintains records and documents by recording progress; preparing reports; researching and preparing budget documents; and entering data. -Reviews requests by answering customer inquiries and providing information; conferring with architects, engineers, builders and property owners; and explaining codes and ordinances. -Responds to requests by providing information on programs and services.

Security Administration:•Summon emergency responders, S.A.P.D Police Department, S.A.F.D. Responsible for the physical security of the H. E. B. Arsenal Headquarters grounds and complex, this is a high-level security complex that includes monitoring and data entry on the Westinghouse 6100 Access Control System. Responding to alarms within each complex such as fire, intrusion, and panic; physically securing all perimeter entry at the Main gate and Visitors desk. Ability to read blue prints and understands specification of all commercial H.E.B structures within Texas. Monitoring all alarm systems for H.E. B. stores in San Antonio and Texas owned and operated facilities. This included dispatching of proper authorities on alarm in the event of a hold-Up, fire, panic, or burglar alarm. Preliminary investigation of incidents in support of H. E. B. Management personnel in the prevention of actual incident service tickets would be issued in the event of alarm system malfunction. Apprehending of shoplifters at all H. E. B. Stores, working closely with loss prevention managers and store directors in the prevention of merchandise being stolen or given away by employees. Trained in apprehension methods and setting up CCTV systems. Worked with surveillance cameras and auditing equipment to ensure that employees were not stealing money from cash registers or giving discount to family members or friends. Arresting subjects that have stolen from the store or concealed the merchandise and walked out the door without the director approval. File police reports with the local police departments, to assure that all paper work was typed and filed correctly for court hearings.
