Roger Thomas is currently the Manager of Network Operations for Mouser Electronics, one of the world’s leading distributors of high quality electronics components. He leads a team of network and telecommunications engineers who ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the company's IT infrastructure and systems. He is also a graduate of the Veteran Administration's VET TEC program via ACI. The program is focused on Advanced Infrastructure Support and Cyber Security and comprises of over 300 hours of hands-on training and labs in the areas of Cyber Security & Network Defense. It culminates with certifications in Security+, Certified Network Defender and Ethical Hacking.Prior to this he was the lead Media Specialist at the University of Hawaii Palamanui in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. There he delivered professional Media/Computing Services to include managing the university's video conferencing network to broadcast instruction and events utilizing Polycom and Zoom unified communications technologies across a range of desktop and mobile platforms.He is also a retired USAF Cyberspace Operations Officer with over 24 years of Information Technology (IT) and aircraft systems experience. He deployed to Iraq and South Korea, and served overseas in Germany, Belgium and Hawaii. There he demonstrated expertise in multiple facets of IT management and operations to include: Executive support, IT portfolio management, personnel management, support contract and inventory management, cyber/network security, blueprinting and administration, video-teleconferencing, software development, data and systems migrations, archival and recovery, technology deployments, regulatory compliance and emerging tech assessments.
