I earned my master’s degree in elementary education at Brown University in 2000. Since 2000, I have had proven success with many types of students, including those who have ADHD, autism, and other learning differences. I have had equal success with gifted students who require more advanced challenges than is typical of their grade level. I am certified (RI-8234) to teach in Rhode Island for grades 1-6, and most recently my students earned 95% proficiency in NECAP reading as well as 85% proficiency in NECAP math. Many of those students earned scores exceeding state expectations.I employ a positive, patient and effective style of teaching. Every individual is unique and capable of maximizing their potential. Visual, verbal, and hands-on learning are an integral part of my pathway to reach any student. This eclectic approach to teaching allows for active, enthusiastic and successful learning.
