Unconventional gas Geologic operations and Geo Steering

-Responsible for geo steering multiple stacked horizontal wells in Permian Basin using cutting edge Geo Steering program. -Daily reports to company personnel on well progress. This includes making recommendations on inclination and azimuth changes to maintain ideal positioning within target zones (Wolfcamp).

* Assisted Onshore New Ventures Team with all Eagle Ford and Permian operational requirements, guidance on drilling requirements and Geo Steering.* Served as Area Lead Geologist over several different asset areas with responsibilities to oversee Junior Geologists, well proposals, well design and drilling operations.* Responsible for Geo-Steering wells in Eagle Ford Assets using cutting-edge programs (Boresight & Geo Direct) – total wells drilled in excess of 100 wells.* Worked closely with Eagle Ford Completions Group on completion operations including Frack Formula(style) and perforated intervals.* Special projects using the data obtained from 600+ wells in Eagle Ford using Petra. Studies used to determine best areas and best target zones for future drilling.* Using new concepts – drilling azimuth, zone targeting, lateral length and completion style – to revitalized asset area. Increased IP’s from 200 bopd to 700 bopd.* Responsible for daily operational reports to upper Management on progress of current drilling operations.

· Working as team with Geophysicist, responsible for formulating exploration program and play concepts for carbonate, clastic, and fractured basement reservoirs for 3 large exploration concessions. This includes 3D seismic programs, basin analysis, and exploration drilling evaluation programs;· Working as a multi-disciplinary team with Planning Department, responsible for evaluation of development drilling locations in Waha Oil Field and Defa Oil Field. This included both vertical and horizontal drilling.· Responsible for formulating well evaluation programs for development and exploration wells, coring, openhole testing, wireline log evaluation and completion recommendations;· Prepares and presents exploration well proposals and 3D seismic programs to National Oil Company and industry partners for yearly budget meetings;· Responsible for 2 large oil discoveries: 500 MMbbl Dolomite discovery with multi-offset potential and 100 MMbbl Sandstone discovery with multi-offset potential.· Collaboration with U.S. industry partner regional asset teams on development and exploration well drilling programs.

* Daily contact with upper management and partners on progress of drilling operations;* Responsible for well-site management: set up of well-site operations, wireline log analysis, core selection and description, and completion recommendations;* Responsible for maintaining production levels through infield development wells, re-completions, and workover operations on existing properties.

· Reviewed and recommended purchase of 200+ square mile 3D seismic in Midland Basin. Assisted with seismic interpretation on Landmark workstation to develop multi-well drilling projects.· Responsible for major presentations to upper management and company Board of Directors on exploration drilling and development drilling results.

· Oversaw Geologic subsurface interpretation using Geographix workstation and assisted Geophysicist with seismic interpretation on multiple large scale 3D projects in West Texas (300+ square miles) using Landmark workstation;· Reviewed and evaluated outside offshore drilling prospects for majority working interest;· Working as an integrated team with Reservoir Engineering, was responsible for producing field reserve estimates and field development.
