Enjoying over 40 years of work in urban planning and community development. I have worked in both the public sector in various city and county roles and the private sector in consulting to public agencies, land developers and home builders. I have also enjoyed overseas consulting work for land developers and an assignment for USAID living in Kabul, Afghanistan for two month working on impacts of unauthorized hillside housing. Public sector work has included positions in county and city roles as planning director at large, medium, small communitiesSkills include large scale master planning, site planning, grading design, subdivision design, development of policy documents such general plans and specific plans, development of zoning codes, and understanding real world development implementation when writing developing policy documents.
