After more than 20 years in the newspaper industry as a sports/features writer, including seven years as the beat writer for a MLB team, I have taken my talents to the world of non-profits. I am a writer/editor for Step Up For Students, a wonderful organization that provides scholarships for low-income and special needs students in Florida. I still tell stories, which is what I love to do. Instead of writing about athletes and games, I am telling the stories of children who were able to turn their lives around with the help of SUFS. Real inspirational stuff.
