Technical project lead for the council’s move to a new customer centre at the newly built civic centre in Brixton including design/deployment of an online cloud-based public appointments booking system, locked down PCs for public use, furniture/space planning, IT requirements for dealing with Births/Deaths/Marriages and new IT capability for 40 Customer Centre staff. Leading 4 FTE.Key Achievements to Date:-►Helped define the requirements for an off the shelf booking/queuing system and evaluated preferred solution’s (Booking Bug) suitability by visiting their offices for demo’s and to understand service offerings.►Shoehorned the legacy booking system in at the new site temporarily by patching/fixing end of life Check-in terminals for the old system and deploying digital signage connected to this to show queuing info onscreen for members of the public.►Defined/implemented the technology to lock down multiple PCs for the public to access council services/benefits and apply for jobs purchasing a solution called ThinKiosk.►Evaluated custom made PC terminals and delivered All in One PC’s using armoured mouse/keyboard combo devices that met the custom desk design.►Oversaw the installation by an AV company of the screen/digital signage requirements to work with the queuing system and provide the public information on local events.►Configured and rolled out hybrid touchscreen laptop devices part of the working model for the new Customer Centre performing early adoption/testing in Windows 10 with all 40 Customer Centre staff.►Fixed issues with Chip and Pin devices not working on machines running Windows 10 and rolled this out enabling a cashless environment.

Mar 2020 – Oct 2020 Contact was extended to provide support on site to the Chief Executive and other senior council staff during the Covid-19 lockdown as well as any other IT related project work required during the pandemic.Key Responsibilities• Setup and managed an ad-hoc project to deliver IT equipment and office furniture to staff working from home due to the lockdown.• Project managed the IT related components and integration for a newly purchased desk booking and monitoring service.• Provided Microsoft Teams & Skype for Business support to the Chief Executive and senior staff whilst holding key conference calls with staff, UK Government, Emergency Services, and other UK councils.

Jul 2019 – Feb 2020 Managed the successful delivery of a Windows 10 Deployment project across all Lambeth Library sites which focused on the deployment of 145 PC’s to replace end of life and broken Windows 7 machines used by members of the public. Key Responsibilities • Collaborated with library management to attend to a constant change in project scope and demands, and overcome challenges pertaining to lack of staff via communications and buy in from IT support teams.

Aug 2018 – Dec 2019 Took over a project to deploy a room booking system used by staff to locate and book available meeting rooms.Key Responsibilities • Ironed out numerous defects which were delivered with the initial project.• Obtained approval from IT and Facilities Management to support relevant components prior to handover. • Offered daily technical support on the Room Booking system prior to successful project completion. Aug 2018 – Nov2019 Took over and successfully delivered the Audio-Visual technology deployment project which involved the rollout of the AV kit across multiple Lambeth office sites.Key Responsibilities • Dealt with the selected supplier to achieve an on-time project delivery. • Created relevant support documentation and obtained agreement from internal IT business functions to handover into lifecycle support; supporting the AV Kit/Service prior to handover.

Led a Junior PM, Technical PM and 2 IT support staff to save a stalled project to migrate all council staff to their Skype for Business telephony managed service provided by O2/Telefonica. Key Achievements in Role:-►Developed an aggressive delivery plan and achieved the migration of 3,400+ users across 80 sites in 6 months to Skype for Business which provided the council a 7-figure OPEX saving vs the legacy BT hosted system.►Ran a series of audits in Active Directory to identify dead/system/generic accounts to get an accurate number of how many employees would be migrated.►Successfully completed the complex migration of the council’s 3rd party Intelligent Voice Recognition (IVR) switchboard to Skype for Business working with Netcall (IVR supplier), Lambeth network teams and O2/Telefonica – routed Netcall calls through O2’s Session Border Controllers and network through to our hosted Skype for Business platform.►Managed change with staff/SMT and the Unions conducting training on Skype for Business (5-25 per session) to ensure they realised the benefits of this new system which drove rapid adoption by users.

Tasked with life cycle managing product/system development of solutions heavily relying on Windows, Linux, and Cisco & Juniper technology. Key Achievements in Role:-►Deployed a hosted VoIP solution using the Broadsoft’s Broadworks call platform with integration into 3rd party reporting and handset management systems.►Delivered an Encrypted Overlay IL3 solution to add to Level 3’s IPVPN solution as part of their offering to PSN/UK Government customers.►Set-up an in-house Managed Security Services (MSS) centre using 3rd party systems/platforms.►Deployed Cisco Unified Communications and Microsoft Lync products to sell to customers in the UK Government and Enterprise sectors.►Delivered a Managed LAN product for existing and future customers.►Rollout of a Mitel based telephony-based solution for a UK Government customer.►Deployed a Cisco router based gateways/NNI’s between Level 3’s separate IL2/3 networks.►Performed Government testing/certification of existing services and platforms.
