Roger is a commercial lawyer, litigator and legal process architect with over a decade’s experience in managing large scale and complex matters. Prior to establishing Ouk Legal Group and Ouk + Digital, he worked in private practice in Australia and Hong Kong with one of the world’s largest law firms. Roger delivers strategic legal solutions. He works closely with software engineers and designers to develop innovative products and/or processes to enhance his client’s legal position.Roger helps in house legal teams leverage emerging technologies and design thinking to improve the delivery of legal services. Key focus areas include shortening contract cycle negotiating and review times, reducing volume of incomplete documents submitted for legal review and increasing the breadth and depth of legal knowledge within the organisation. He has extensive experience in negotiating, drafting and advising on a broad range of commercial agreements. As a litigator who has represented large private and publicly listed companies in the County and Supreme Courts of Victoria and High Court of Hong Kong, he is able to leverage that expertise in his contractual negotiations. Roger's projects in fashion, art, technology and law have produced challenging interdisciplinary collaborations. Notable projects include: ‘Fusion’ a collaboration between hip-hop musicians and Australian judges including at the time High Court of Australia Judge Michael Kirby AC CMG and collaborative projects with Australian Paris- based artists Geoff Lowe and Jacqueline Riva exhibited at Spring Workshop in Hong Kong in 2013 and at Artissima in Turin, Italy in 2017.
