Subsequent to extensive liaison and consultation with all levels of management, I designed and compiled 51 policies, procedures and guidance notes bespoke to the organization and its scope of works, ensuring operational and strategic legal and regulatory compliance and adherence, through the introduction of effective and safe systems of work, health and safety documentation, an audit regime, fire safety and general risk assessment processes. In addition to the above, I kick started and delivered an all encompassing bespoke safety training program to over 1000 members of staff across all offices, based on CIEH courses. Ongoing courses for supervisors and managers, fire safety and fire marshal, dynamic risk assessment, risk assessment and manual handling were delivered on a regular / ongoing basis. In effect, I developed and implemented HSSE management systems that were in line with BS OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001, and attained the relevant certification and accreditation in March 2011. -
