About Roger Samson

Our interest is in implementing innovative new approaches to accelerate the development of regenerative food and fiber farming systems. We have an increasing focus on developing high yielding herbaceous biomass plant materials that efficiently build soil carbon. We have worked for 30 years on optimizing plant breeding systems of native warm season grasses for agri-food, fibre and bioenergy applications. We also have worked for 20 years in developing countries on our agroecological village livelihood programs mainly in West Africa and Asia.
