Responsibility coverage: Process safety management in STA organization including two manufacturing sites, as well as the key contact of STA for all EHS related client audits.− Improve the PSM system to ensure all EHS risks properly identified and addressed;− Keep closed communication with R&D, safety laboratory and project teams to ensure all project technologies transfer processes are maintained to meet the business needs;− Be responsible for communication and follow up of EHS audit from business partners;− As the STA EHS representative to participate the regular management meeting with the key business partners;− Regular review the PSM performance and provide the PSM training to other function teams;− Keep regular contact with the key business partners to learn new knowledge and best practices;− Provide professional support to the onsite EHS management and practices.

Responsibility coverage: EHS leadership for all BU locations in China.- Development and implementation of EHS strategies and plan to achieve business objectives of two business units;- Develop EHS best practices and provide guidance to the manufacturing sites;- Lead BU EHS programs in locations includes SIF task risk assessment, vehicle safety, contractor safety management, safety observation, LIFEsavers and other LIFE activities;- Provide technical and regulatory compliance expertise and support to locations;- Participate process safety campaigns for new processes and review of existing processes in locations;- Lead EHS audit and construction safety audit to BU locations, and participate global EHS audit to locations of other business units;- Provide EHS support to non-operations businesses includes supply chain, commercial as well as offices;- Establish EHS processes to enhance the management level to 3rd party contractors, e.g. construction contractors, waste disposal facilities, transportation service providers;- Monitor and report BU and location EHS KRAs to BU/site leadership team and corporate EHS team.

Responsibility coverage: EHS support for all Crop Protection business activities in China includes two manufacturing sites.- Deliver strategic EHS support to manufacturing sites and new projects, and ensure the EHS regulations are implemented;- Work with regional and global EHS organizations to deliver technical support to manufacturing sites, and follow up the improvement plan of EHS audits;- Establish up the MSDS management system for all products in the country, and regularly update to sale teams;- Conduct EHS audit to tollers, chemical material suppliers as well as the third party warehouses and transportation agencies;- Ensure the country emergency management system is up-to-date, and deliver necessary awareness to team members in different locations including manufacturing sites and representative offices;- Monitor EHS KPIs for all manufacturing sites and office locations in China;- Provide professional support to administration team on office safety;- Lead the training and assessment of defensive driving to sales teams in China.

Responsibility coverage: EHS support to all eight manufacturing sites in China.- Develop and implement regional EHS guidelines;- Coordinate with EHS to ensure compliance of corporate requirements and local regulations in each site;- Provide EHS support and oversight to the business units and legal entities including the follow up of internal EHS audit;- Be responsible for registration of new chemicals in China;- Represent Degussa China Region at Degussa group EHS events, in relevant associations in China and in international EHS bodies.

Responsibility coverage: EHS management of daily operation for chemical and pharmaceutical sites.- Conduct the gap analysis report to ensure compliance of the local and corporate EHS requirements (Gap analysis on corporate CPs, GEPs and GSPs);- Optimize the method on wastes treatment and disposal, ca. 1000K RMB being saved in year 2003;- Launch the project on saving of water consumption in facilities, ca. 100 tons of wastewater had be reduced daily;- Optimize the process in wastewater treatment plant in order to reduce the load and prevent the pollution;- Take daily EHS internal inspections mainly in production and warehouse areas, educate the operators and contractors to help them correcting and improving the safety behaviors on their operations;- Conduct quarterly external EHS audits to the waste disposal contractors, recommendations will be provided to the contractors to meet the company's minimum requirements;- Support the facility training group to improve the EHS training effectiveness to employees;- Obtain ‘Safety Eagle Award' issued from corporate EHS.

- Develop and update the plant EHS procedures according to the government requirements and corporate policies;- Carry out regular internal EHS audits in all areas within facility, zero lost time accident happened in the years of 2001 and 2002;- Establish the external EHS audits for the wastes disposal facilities to ensure the compliance;- Provide the MSDS for all substances which used in facility, establish the training of the materials handling to the operators;- Take charge of the management for the security guard team and first aid station in facility.

- Assist engineering manager to set up the preventive maintenance system;- Coordinate with production department, provide the technical support to improve the equipment capability and optimize the production processes;- Work as project engineer to control the project cost, schedule and quality of four new production lines transferred from Europe;- Prepare the equipment performance qualification, process validation and cleaning validation protocol for formulation plant.

- Participate in the trial production of the first new chemical and formulation products, work as the operator and shift leader at the beginning of the production;- Coach to 20 operators in production plant on the unit operations and processes;- Develop the Detailed Batch Production Record (DBPR), Production Changeover & Cleaning Record (PCCR) and the risk analysis report for the production lines;- Optimize the production process to increase the capacity and reduce the cost.
