Director Of Sales
BC Stone Homes' business model is a mix of Build On Your Lot (BOYL) custom homes and traditional neighborhood spec building. I joined the company to build a sales team, opened 2 showrooms to facilitate customer meetings in the local BOYL markets, and launched a brokerage company to bring spec sales in-house. I managed all positions related to Customer Experience on the front end, including Sales, Marketing, Design, and Closing Coordinator. I managed the relationships with our outside Realtor partners as well, negotiating and signing all offers. I was a sounding board for the owner, to hear his ideas and advise whether I thought they helped our business strategy, then execute on those that we agreed would advance the company's strategic objectives. I provided a blueprint for increasing margins so that each home sold was more profitable, without sacrificing features or velocity.In addition to my management duties and role as advisor, I was personally responsible for maintaining and editing all contract documents to meet the changing business needs. I created and maintained estimating tools to enable our sales team to generate accurate estimates for BOYL customers during the sales meeting, to include site estimates and all options. I created a 50+ page Sales Training Manual so that all new hires would get consistent and comprehensive training. I managed the workflows so that sales presentations were consistent, and all customers were able to move smoothly through the sales, contract, and pre-construction process. I led a marketing effort to create inventory sheets for all spec homes, inventory lots, and communities. Finally, I created reports so the owner could track our monthly sales projections, goals, and actuals.

Dilworth had a diverse product offering, ranging from entry level townhomes up through full custom, multi-million dollar estate homes. As COO, I helped to grow the company from 83 closings and $36M in revenue in 2017 to 125 closings and $52M in revenue in 2020. This growth was made possible by implementing new systems, processes, and ideas to make the company scalable, and hiring the right people to manage those systems and follow the processes. The goal was to create an exceptional experience for the customer, while fostering a culture of excellence internally.Design and customization was a key element to the customer experience at Dilworth. I designed and built out a 4,000sf Design Gallery that changed the game for building homes in Auburn. This space enabled us to attract more buyers and provide a robust, yet streamlined design experience that made us unique in the market.
