CurrentRoger is a qualified and experienced engineer with over 15 years’ experience within the land drainage/water level management sector. He has a track record of successfully overseeing and managing many civil engineering schemes.He has played a key role in the following:• Delivering operational water level management, maintenance programmes, long term improvement works and refurbishment schemes (structural / electrical and mechanical).• Undertaking longitudinal / cross sectional and asset surveys, subsequently producing drawings to conclude their findings.• Assisting with the overseeing of the day to day operational systems of 30 pumping stations and their catchments. – Water Level Management• Working closely and collaboratively with various land owners, local authorities, EA, conservation bodies, consultants, planners/developers and contractors.• Responsible for the day to day operational systems of 30 pumping stations and their catchments.• Land Drainage Act and Byelaw Consents• Annual mechanical/electrical inspection contracts. (Maintenance/Insurance)• Supervising/Managing – workforce, contractors, surveyors. • Implementing environmental practises and introduced a barn owl box scheme at suitable pumping station sites.He has project management experience of land drainage maintenance works, pumping station schemes, reservoir construction, and environmental projects, from design to completion. Implementing contracts, programme of works, financial spreadsheets, progress meetings. He has also prepared tenders / quotes for works and understands it is imperative to achieve value for money.He has a great amount of experience dealing with high run off (agricultural and industrial) and heavy rainfall events, values the use of telemetry, and understands the importance of 24hr cover to deal with such circumstances. (Additional pumps if power fails / use of gearboxes on pumps etc.)
