Engineering Supervisor
CurrentProvide project management of assigned capital improvement projects: - This position will lead a team of project managers that will perform comprehensive project management. There may be projects with greater visibility where you will serve as the project manager. Comprehensive project management includes, but is not limited to: - Project initiation, feasibility studies, acquisition of professional services, project estimation, contract negotiations, plan review, interaction/engagement with City Departments (e.g., Planning and Development, Transportation, Stormwater, Communications). - Monitor projects, conducts site visits, maintain records and documents, interpret project conditions and conformance with plans, program, budget, codes and standards and manage consultants and contractor delivery services for projects for City buildings, site development, utility and street construction. - Identify engineering related deficiencies and recommends solutions. - Prepare and evaluate contracts, cost estimates; review all phases of design and drawings for improvements and new construction projects. - Supervise up to five employees and evaluate staff performance. - Coordinate deadlines, prioritizing work demands and assigning/monitoring work performed. - Attend owner-architect conferences, City Council meetings, and other community meetings as necessary.
