I’m from a software engineering background, transitioned into DevOps and Cloud computing, and now i’m a platform engineer. In a typical role I will:- Work with stakeholders to identify requirements, plan and execute DevOps initiatives- Collaborate with others to share knowledge, coordinate effort, build trust and reduce friction- Design, deploy and configure cloud infrastructure and container orchestration platforms (AWS, Kubernetes)- Create reusable templates and CI/CD pipelines for applications and services- Build self-service tools for infrastructure, environments, deployments and shared services- Choose effective technologies to support dev, operations and security needs- Integrate security and compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines- Use observability tooling to help users debug workloads, monitor cluster health, flag security threats and identify trends- Identify bottlenecks to productivity in the SDLC, prioritise and eliminate them- Promote a DevOps culture within the organisationIf you’re interested in any of the above stuff, please connect with me !
