Dr Roger Woodhead has over 40 years of Canadian and International construction and consulting engineering experience with the last 30 years spent in management and the last 16 in major railway transit projects. This includes: design manager on the REM transit project in Montreal and the Confederation Line in Ottawa; systems and interface director on the Eglinton Crosstown project in Toronto; Technical Director on the Canada Line in Vancouver,BC; Quality Systems Manager on the Millennium Line in Vancouver; Rail Package Manager on the Maura Wahau Mining Project in Indonesia; Kuala Lumpur LRT2 Transit Project Cut and cover tunnel in Malaysia; Project Construction Engineer on three pits in North Vancouver built using the Caisson Sinking Method; Site Development Engineering Manager and Technical Services Manager on the Hibernia Gravity Base Structure in Newfoundland. In addition he is an Adjunct Professor, Construction Engineering and Management at the University of British Columbia. His awards include the Alan Russell Award presented in recognition of his significant and lasting impact on the Canadian Construction Engineering and Management community; the Schreyer Award for the top technical project in Canada (as part of SNC-Lavalin); Construction Award for Best Paper published by the American Concrete Institute.
