Oversaw the deployment and maintained the various devices that made up our Network Intelligence Platform that was built around the Procera Networks hardware. Scanned the network for vulnerabilities and make the recommended adjustments to secure a multimillion dollar network that processes various credit card transactions for Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. Monitor the alerts from the IDP (Intrusion Detection and Prevention) and IDS (Intrusion Detection System) and document that attempts to compromise Lynk Systems Network were not successful. Worked with CA Unicenter to monitor the entire network including smart switches, routers, firewalls and servers. My primary responsibility was to migrate mission critical applications while providing a stable working environment for continued development and customer service. I was part of a team working on migrating from one domain to another. This consisted of keeping an open line of communication with other System Administrators as well as project coordinators and end users of the application. I also supported day to day operations and took the lead in new projects as needed. Some key experience gained from this contract was Sun Solaris, IBM AIX, HP-UX, Flex License Manager, NIS, NFS, XRT, Interleaf 6, and Storage Area Network, samba, wincenter, citrix, exceed, Web servers, solstice disk suite, and a deeper knowledge of unix system security.

Started as end user support for Epic Healthcare implementation. I worked my way up to deploying Solaris 2.5.1 with Sybase database. eventually moved into troubleshooting and restructuring the system and DB stack to better leverage system resources. Here is where I found my niche. The rest is history. This all started from accidentally sending a NETSEND to the domain while working as a medical assistant.
