Responsible for developing the actuarial contracting business line, under which actuarial contractors were placed at clients. Increased size of business line threefold over two year period.Involved business development activities, as well as expanding number of actuarial contractors within resource pool.

Head of quality across all business lines. Responsible for setting up appropriate quality controls (including internal audit function), monitoring and improving quality across the organisation.

Responsible for all technical aspects of 500 employee outsourcing company. Business lines included actuarial placements, actuarial pensions mis-selling review, endowment complaints mis-selling review, FSAVC mis-selling review, DC pensions administration and SSAS pensions administration.Position also involved being a member of the company's management board.

Responsible for team of 250 actuarial contractors who were working on pensions mis-selling review. Responsibility included ensuring key regulatory deadline was successfully met.

Responsible for managing a number of clients to ensure their expectations were set appropriately and that the company delivered against those expectations.

Performed pensions mis-selling review work. Also specified software developments related to pensions review.

Scheme Actuary to 50 pension schemes. Performed actuarial valuation work, including implementing various aspects of the Pensions Act 1995.Role also involved delivering presentations to trustees of the pensions schemes, and advising the sponsoring employers of the impact of any changes to their schemes.

Performed valuation work including the preparation of statutory returns to the DTI, initially as a trainee actuary until qualifying in 1994. Work involved a reasonable amount of SAS work.Seconded as Compliance Actuary for seven month Disclosure project from July 1994 to February 1995.

Performed a variety of manual actuarial calculations in relation to DC pension schemes.
