CurrentI practice in three main areas of law. I am a commercial litigator with over 30 years of experience and an international reputation for achieving outstanding results. I also act for privately owned businesses as outside General Counsel and adviser, and finally, I represent C-suite and senior executives with respect to their compensation and severance arrangements. I have been rated by The American Lawyer, Corporate Counsel Magazine and the National Law Journal as one of the Top Commercial Litigators in the United States. I am a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, the invitation-only trial lawyer honorary society limited to less than one-half of one percent of lawyers in America and have been selected as a Super Lawyer in Thompson Reuters’ annual survey of the top 5% of lawyers in the New York Metro Area, 2013 to the present. I hold an “AV Preeminent” rating, the highest rating in the legal profession for professional excellence and ethical standards, as determined by the peer review of judges and lawyers conducted by Martindale-Hubble.I have litigated both bench and jury cases and have argued appeals throughout the United States at the state and federal levels. I have also handled matters domestically and internationally under the various forms of ADR. My cases routinely involve financial and business disputes, breaches of contract, securities and common law fraud, shareholder and partner claims, business breakups, investor actions, broker-dealer and FINRA-based claims, real estate development and construction controversies, employment claims, including non-compete and non-solicit actions, and senior executive compensation. My clients are from the US and abroad and cover diverse industries such as finance, investment funds, technology, manufacturing and design, professional services, fashion, hospitality, advertising, marketing, public relations, investor relations, health care and family offices.
