Responsibilities include marketing, management, organization, staffing, purchasing, retail stocking, events planning, business structure and design, and team leadership. Work closely with students of all ages, parents, chamber of commerce, vendors and general public. Serve as inspirational leader for large group of members, including youth counseling and personal guidance. Responsible for all correspondence, sales presentations, training and problem solving. Additionally, planned and coordinated all demonstrations and served as Executive Director for Major Karate Tournament (TheBushidoOpen.com). Independently negotiated building lease and terms, as well as designed and built a functional, contemporary, ergonomic work space which meets OSHA standards. Grew the business from 5 to 150 students, with many becoming recognized National and World Sport Karate Champions.
