During his six years at Deloitte, Roger was responsible for establishing, building and leading Deloitte's infrastructure advisory team and Deloitte's Health funding and strategy advisory team. The role which was a national one, included pursuing, securing and delivering opportunities to advise government at federal, state and local level on the procurement and financing of major social and economic infrastructure projects. Achievements while at Deloitte include establishing and building an infrastructure advisory practice from scratch, being appointed on a number of significant engagements including the financial advisory role for the Defence Headquarters Joint Operations Command PPP project, Project Vista, The Gold Coast Rapid Transit Project and the Sunshine Coast Hospital Project.

Initially in based London and then in Australia, the role was to seek investment opportunities in social infrastructure by bidding on projects being procured under the UK's PFI structure. The team focussed on three sectors of social infrastructrure, specifically schools, police stations and prisons.Substantial achievements while at Babcock & Brown include winning the bid for the London Borough of Tower Hamlets Grouped Schools scheme, and working on several successful acquisitions in Australia including Redbank Power Station.

Project and Structured Finance Team; Roger joined the Macquarie team from South Africa and took responsibiity for the roll out of existing Macquarie financial products to potential clients in South Africa.Substantial achievements while at Macquarie included winning and delivering the first four cross border lease transactions to be completed in South Africa once financial sanctions had been withdrawn. The transactions were over rolling stock and power generating equipment.

Highlights of the role included chairing and leading the banking group which provided non recourse debt facilities to the Alusaf Hillside Smelter Project, a double potline Aluminium smelter based at Richards Bay, kwaZulu Natal Province, South Africa and providing debt facilities for phase one of the Lesotho Highlands Water project.
