Some responsibilities include:Team leader for onshore and offshore leveraged UNIX Systems Administrators supporting global financial client. Responsible for maintaining information integrity of hundreds of servers and other hardware that the team supports. Oversaw the server decommissions and new server builds, server support and incident resolution by the team as well as day to day operations maintaining the hardware under the teams’ support.Conducted semi-annual Disaster Recovery drill implementation for financial client. Designed and implemented DR plan to simulate entire datacenter recovery resulting in a successful implementation within timeline pre-determine by the client for recovery. Suggested and implemented efficiencies based on results of DR drill.Provided leadership, coaching and training to the technology group developing them into a highly motivated and competent team who understood the need to meet their own and the company objectives.Collaborated with Project Managers and Client Delivery personnel to deploy dozens of smaller scale projects within the UNIX environment. Shared responsibilities with other team leads to ensure successful completion of projects.Provided technology expertise to a project team assigned to perform semi-annual remote patching of 200+ Solaris servers for several clients. Utilized Project Management skills as the Technical Lead of multi-year global project to deploy standardized Back Up and Recovery system to 90+ manufacturing plants’ data centers. This included the need to document, manage deployment, train local site personnel and do support of the BUR system. Eventually moved to a support position supporting the BUR Application for the client.Took on assignments with ever increasing responsibilities and technical challenges like support of AIX based turnstile project implementation and support in the plant, remote support of servers at other clients.
