In addition, I deal with complex issues as a team leader, filling in for team members for any period of time, resolving customer issues and successfully up keeping engineering support to other departments within transportation. I maintain work flow and productivity while ensuring safety, reliability and maintaining contract compliance within the systems analysis requirements.Additional Responsibilities:• Training new or joining Systems Engineers in current up-to-date process• Generating Block Design Analysis, reports and estimates to support various project solutions• Showing compliance with subsystem requirements• Mastering Systems Engineering tools such as: DOORS, Unifier, StarTeam, RAILSIM and other related tools for maximising efficiency• Effectively interfacing with engineers of multiple disciplines and customers (internal and external)• Maintaining project documentation to ensure configuration management• Support training curriculum to instruct Systems Engineers in Block Design Methods and standards deliverable(s)• Travelling domestically and internationally communicating with customers on the technical aspect of the project wayside system design• Understanding multiple Railroad Signalling standards / techniques• Researching and developing new simulation methods and tools to increase our competitive edge incorporating industry standards and lessons learned.
