Business, product and data analyst with over thirty years’ experience of UK business data in both the marketing and credit sectors. I have had extensive client contact with both SME and major account customers and have had experience of creating tailored credit scorecards, data extracts for successful marketing campaigns, client data analysis, and data cleansing/enhancement. Prior to my current position, my most recent role was part of a project team formed to re-platform legacy mainframe processes. The essence of this role was ensuring that legacy products would be still functional using data from the new platform. I had a responsibility to ensure the business was able to maintain compliant processing, data accuracy and show a true version of the data the suppliers provide. I successfully made recommendations that materially reduced significant cost and development time while ensuring that data would be fit for purpose.A significant part of my career at Experian has been in the B2B marketing sector. In that set of roles I have variously performed functions of client consultant, post-sales support, data sales, data delivery, management of online data delivery products and the recruitment and management of a team of client services executives. While maintaining a mature sense of professionalism in my communications and approach, I like to challenge assumptions and I am especially keen on breaking down processes that exist because "it's always been that way". I also believe that if a process is not understood because it has been in place for a long time, it is often better to start afresh, maintaining a body of knowledge for future users. I love new ideas, and am very receptive to new approaches and opportunities to learn new skills.
