Roger Black has lead responsibility for The Michaels Organization, a national leader in residential real estate. Since joining Michaels in 2013, Mr. Black has been instrumental in leading joint venture partnerships on a variety of developments, including mixed-income, market rate multifamily, student housing and workforce housing communities across the country. Roger also works with both debt and equity sources to raise capital.Roger's expertise includes all aspects of sourcing, analyzing and deal structure. Depending on market conditions, he focuses on core, value add, opportunistic or ground up development in both urban and suburban markets. Prior to joining The Michaels Organization, Roger owned and operated multiple businesses. Roger holds a Bachelor of Science from Syracuse University and is a member of the Urban Land Institute.
