About Roger Green
I am a residential real estate executive managing a portfolio of approximately 40 properties and 4,000 units throughout the Western US. My experience includes acquisitions, development, facilities and an extensive history of large-scale construction projects. I manage an annual capex budget of >$10M and new construction budgets of $25-50M while leading a large team of professionals, contractors, architects, engineers, facilities and project managers. I played a key role in developing a 5-yr capital plan for the company’s portfolio, implementing capital projects to enhance value and programming in luxury senior housing communities. My expertise in contract negotiation and vendor management enabled me to optimize capital expenditures and secure favorable pricing for unit renovations. Additionally, I evaluated the acquisition of twenty senior housing communities, conducting thorough due diligence through market studies, phase one reports, property condition assessments, zoning reports, and ALTA surveys.Prior to MBK I was Vice President of Acquisitions and Development at WESTLiving, LLC where I was responsible for acquiring, designing, developing, and renovating luxury senior housing communities with acquisition and development budgets between $25-35M. At Sunrise Senior Living, I was the Development Director Responsible for “full-cycle” project management including land acquisition, due diligence, entitlements, design, scheduling, budgeting, permitting, pre-construction and opening of ground-up luxury senior housing projects located throughout the Southwest region. I have extensive experience working with local government. At the San Diego Housing Authority I was an affordable housing real estate manager; at the City of Irvine I did community development planning; and at the city of Laguna Niguel I served as a planning commissioner. As a leader, I have a passion for mentoring and developing my team, developing high quality residential projects and understanding all aspects of the real estate development cycle.
