I’m an independent consultant working inside companies to develop their businesses and helping them supply great solutions to their customers. I’m passionate about UK advanced manufacturing technology, supplying solutions globally.**********************************************************************************Working for Nikon Metrology in the UK, in the field of Large Volume Metrology and Metrology Assisted Production, turnover has quadrupled (profitably) since 2007 (through the recession). It now boasts arguably the most talented team of engineers in the field of high accuracy robotics anywhere in the World.Recent projects include a robotic assembly cell for GKN Aerospace. This performs precision drilling, countersinking, fastener installation and inspection on composite structures.Many projects are sensitive and NDA’s always respected. But the work has led to new Patents for end customers including Rolls Royce and Airbus.**********************************************************************************Outside of Nikon Metrology (RHA) I was recently invited as guest lecturer at Birmingham Business School (MA Marketing course – to lecture on innovation and disruptive technologies)I successfully lead the sale of two SME businesses to larger groups (one after a company closure / re-birth). The first was to a private global systems integrator in the automotive market, the second to a stock listed company with full due diligence and City Lawyers.**********************************************************************************Outside of work I enjoy time with family and friends. I’m a keen swimmer and cook. I’m learning to surf – where I can now stand before I fall! I brew my own beer (and have a registered Micro Brewery called B-Squared) and have started Bee-Keeping training.
