As the senior digital media specialist on staff, I have spearheaded efforts to centralize and promote digital asset management practices across The Getty, through a variety of technical and political initiatives, resulting in the development of a major DAM application and services.Further, my expertise in digital media technologies has allowed me to serve The Getty in many other capacities. I'm a lead technologist on GettyGuide, a next-generation kiosk and wireless application for museum visitors, I support the migration of our photography and imaging studios to an all-digital workflow, as well as provide internal and external consulting on issues including archival media specficiations, preservation metadata, workflow improvement, and media technology evaluations, testing, and prototyping.

eVox is a major producer of interactive imaging, primarily for the vehicle and fashion markets. Initially, I was was an emergency hire as a workflow engineer, brought in to tighten up critical capture and post-production processes. Within days I was in a fulltime position as the in-house programmer, and shortly after all technology mgmt was within my scope: IT infrastructure, client tech services, and ownership of process improvement in our several studios.My background in software and interactive development, photography, digital asset management, interface design work, and extensive knowledge of AppleScript, Quicktime and QuicktimeVR, ICC color management, and many other relevant technologies proved critical to scaling our production capacity up during the dotcom bubble, and to a degree in insulting the company against the ensuing crash.During my days at eVox I served many roles, but all were central to the business of producing large volumes of great images.

King Group Advertising was a strategic marketing and communications agency dedicated exclusively to the aviation and aerospace industry. Serving clients worldwide, we provided a uniquely creative vision in a field of extremely dull B2B marketing, garnering many awards and recognition for our campaigns and other works.I served as the first Director of Electronic Services for the company, coming in during the critical period where every client was beginning to consider Internet plans. Between overseeing the modernizing of the agency itself (IT infrastructure, data mgmt, modern production techniques, etc) and creating it's first Web presence, I spent over half my time advising businesses like Sony TransCom and United Airlines (UAL) Services on their Internet strategies, and in most cases helping them implement. I was also crucially involved in the Sony P@ssport inflight entertainment system.
