Responsible for establishing a new Division for the company focused on military health, our veterans, and civil concerns.

Leads one of two divisions within the company, the Innovative Solutions Division, consisting of more than 15 programs supporting the Army, Air Force, and Veterans Administration. Responsible for the daily operations of the division, consisting of planning, budgeting, transitioning, and managing the programs, projects, and activities within the division, as well as advising, mentoring, and supervising division personnel. This includes the achievement of strategic goals and targets, as well as establishing and ensuring compliance with company and division policies, procedures, quality, and performance standards.

Led company research and development efforts, too include the development of an enterprise suite of business automation capabilities. Managed various programs for the company, including: defensive cybersecurity, database administration, and software development in support of the Air Force; logistics and tactical network engineering in support of the Army, and call center infrastructure support in support of the Veterans Administration. Participated in bid and proposal activities for a large number of growth opportunities for the company.

Performed day-to-day duties as the Program Manager of the Worldwide Systems Field Software Support sub-contract, which provided systems support to the Warfighter, including: software troubleshooting, systems training, data management and systems security and maintenance. Managed and contributed to multiple software development efforts to create business solutions, enhance internal business process automation, and improve the effectiveness of the organization. This included technical direction and management of web development efforts in hosted and cloud environments, as well as database administration and host configuration responsibilities. Participated in Business Development activities to grow the business through the aggressive pursuit of business opportunities.

Effectively managed multiple information technology projects related to the post production software support of intelligence processing systems. As the project manager, provided management and technical oversight of the entire acquisition and software development lifecycle, to include: requirements management, design, development, configuration management, integration, testing, verification, validation, information assurance security scanning and vulnerability management, security accreditation, license management, fielding, training, and long-term sustainment support. Provided briefings and status updates to customers, users, and upper management. As the enterprise architect, aligned the business needs of the organization with the enterprise information technology infrastructure. This included significant efforts to create a mature virtualization capability to provide infrastructure as a service, virtual desktop infrastructure, and a robust, manageable network infrastructure across three different security domains and nine different physical networks. Actively participated in the organization's process improvement initiatives, and initiated the implementation of a SharePoint Portal to replace the legacy Oracle Portal used to manage automated business processes.

Managed three development teams that worked in support of a variety of customers for a broad range of web application development projects. Projects ranged from a web-based business intelligence program used to manage the customer's core business areas, to development and maintenance of web automation used to support field service representatives stationed worldwide. Applications were developed for both internal use within the customer’s organization and to provide services for the customer’s clients and business partners. Worked closely with the customer's senior executives to align application development activities with the business needs of the organization. Worked closely with application developers, security engineers, test engineers and system administrators to ensure that supported applications were available at all times. Provided briefings and project status updates to upper management and customers. Authored white papers and developed design documentation. Created and executed project plans. Technical skills included: use of Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems; administration and management of Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases; development of web applications using HTML, AJAX, Java, C#, JavaScript, Oracle PL/SQL, TransactSQL, and ColdFusion programming languages; deployment of applications on Microsoft Internet Information Server, Oracle Application Server, ColdFusion Application Server, Liferay Portal, and Apache Tomcat Application Server.

Managed task-organized development teams in support of multiple concurrent projects. Projects included traditional desktop and client/server application programming and web application programming. Provided architectural support and technical guidance to software developers. Oversaw the development and successful implementation of six major web applications to manage information for customer organizations. Managed and contributed technical skills and experience to the development of a 3D visualization application to support a customer's geographical information system. Participated in development of field applications to quickly resolve mission critical software anomalies and develop product enhancements. Identified, proposed, planned, and executed software and database development projects. Submitted project proposals and led project design and development for accepted proposals. Integrated new software applications with existing systems. Provided technical documentation, briefings, and project status updates. Deployed with the United States Army 3rd Brigade, 101st Airborne Division to Kandahar, Afghanistan as a contractor to provide field software support during Operation Enduring Freedom. Technical skills included: use of OpenVMS, Sun Solaris, Sun-OS, HP Unix, and Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems; application development and maintenance using C, C++, Visual Basic, PERL, and Oracle PL/SQL programming languages; system administration and maintenance using a variety of Unix shell languages, Microsoft DOS, and Digital Command Language, as well as associated graphical user interfaces.

Provided guidance and direction to three subordinate engineers in daily software life-cycle support requirements. Performed management duties as the site lead for field support operations for the software engineering team located at Fort Campbell, KY. Technical skills included: use of OpenVMS, Solaris, Sun-OS, HP Unix, and Microsoft Windows operating systems; administration and management of Oracle Relational Database Management Systems; application development using HTML, PERL, Visual Basic and Visual C++ programming languages. Supported hardware platforms included Digital Vax Alpha, Sun SPARC and UltraSPARC, Intel based personal computers and servers.

Maintained military intelligence processing, data management, electronic warfare, and communications electronics systems. Effectively supervised and trained subordinates in production control and electronics maintenance procedures. Managed repair parts inventories and maintenance schedules. System Administrator for two Wide Area Networks/Local Area Networks, comprised of UNIX, Windows 95, Windows NT, Solaris, and OpenVMS Operating Systems. Maintained satellite communications systems, computer systems, radio frequency receivers and transmitters, jammers, and direction finders. Graduated with Honors from an intensive six month course in advanced data and communications maintenance and troubleshooting. Honor Graduate of a ten month long technical training course in advanced electronics and systems maintenance repair and troubleshooting.
